Saint George Island, FL

A small, serene coastal town on Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast, in Bay County.  Mexico Beach is located on Highway 98 approximately 20 minutes east of Panama City.  Although small in size, Mexico Beach is larger than life with countless things to do.  Families, couples, and kids of all ages are always busy with outdoor activities such as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, and beach combing.  Mexico Beach is also home to 150 species of birds for awesome bird watching.  This area makes it easy to be outdoors with balmy summers and cool, calm winters.  It is rich with character with beautifully preserved natural landscapes, sand dunes, and emerald waters.

All this outdoor activity is bound to give you an appetite.  Luckily, Mexico Beach has much to offer with Mango Marley's, Killer Seafood, and Toucan's being among the culinary favorites.  And if you find yourself with a sweet tooth stop by MB Sweets and Treats for delicious donuts and ice cream.

Mexico Beach is an anglers paradise with quick access to deep water.  Palagic fishing for Wahoo, Dolphin, and Mahi Mahi or choose shore or pier fishing which always yields a catch.  To conserve and restore reefs and the fish population, The Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association was founded in 1997, and boasts 200 reefs starting five miles out.  While scuba diving on these reefs, you'll see Grouper and Pompano, or fish from your boat in the summer and catch an abundance of Red Snapper. At almost any time, you'll see people fishing from Pontoon boats in the calm, clear waters of St. Joe Bay.  It is like going back in time because parts of the bay are spring fed, which leads St. Joe Bay as one of the cleanest bays in the state.

Join one of many festivals going on during the year.  Get your fill of delicious seafood at the annual Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-off in February or close out a fabulous year at the "New Year's Eve Celebrate Twice" event where two time zones converge.  Ring in the new year at neighboring Port St. Joe in the eastern time zone, then take a short shuttle ride back over to Mexico Beach an hour later and bring the new year in on the beach in the central time zone...twice the fun!!!

Used to be known as "The Forgotten Coast", you'll see why their motto quickly changed to "The Unforgettable Coast" once your feet hit their beautiful sugar-white sand beaches.  Choose from their fleet of charter boats offering exciting inshore or offshore fishing trips, locally-owned shops and markets, and the many condos, beach houses, and inns, like The Jamaican Inn, where Winston Churchill loved to stay!

Mexico Beach...come get "lost" and find paradise!!!
