Naples is a city in Collier County, Florida which makes up a metropolitan area consisting of Immokalee, La Playa Beach, Marco Island, Ave Maria, and Everglades City.  Naples is located on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in Southwest Florida and is the largest county in Florida by land area and is affectionately known as The Paradise Coast.  Virtually the entire southeastern portion of the county lies within the Big Cypress National Preserve.  Big Cypress is a 720,000 acre United States National Preserve boasting well over one million visitors per year.  It hosts an array of flora and fauna, including mangroves, orchids, alligators, venomous snakes, river otter, bobcat, coyote, the Florida panther, the Florida black bear, and a variety of birds.

Naples is a charming and sophisticated beach destination with a subtropical climate.  With more than 300 sunny days per year, it is easy to see why so many people visit for fun in the sun.  Take a swim in the gorgeous, warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico or relax in your beach chair with your toes in the sand while listening to the calm Gulf waters lap at the sand, calling you in for one more relaxing swim before the sun begins set.  Then catch one of the many gorgeous sunsets Naples has to offer with stunning colors of red, orange, purple, lavender, and blue!

Be sure to check out the Naples City Pier where it is common to see dolphins in the water.  Take amazing pictures over the Gulf of Mexico or cast a line.  No fishing license is required to fish from the pier!  The fun continues with endless activities to choose from.  Take and Everglades tour day trip and ride on an airboat with a small-group tour:Everglades Adventure or see the manatees, also known as the Sea Cow, with a Manatee Ecotour and Shelling Adventure and also see the dolphins at play in the stunning waters of the Gulf of Mexico!

For the shoppers, try the exclusive 5th avenue boutiques such as Island Trends, Chico's, Back of The Bay Boutique, and Sperry Topsider.  Also, don't miss out on the lovely art galleries in the area such as Sheldon Fine Art, Gallery One, and Emily James Gallery for seascapes, abstracts, portraits, and custom artwork.

Hungry yet?  Just south of Naples, find beautiful Marco Island, the first and largest of The Ten Thousand Islands.  Boating and fishing abound here and with those activities, stomachs tend to growl!  Check out the fresh, local seafood of Fin Bistro.  For starters, try their Pan Roasted Prawns or the charred Octopus.  Then move on to their melt-in-your-mouth Panko Herb Crusted Yellowtail Snapper, Grilled Jumbo Sea Scallops, or the seared Florida Black Grouper.  Delicious!!  If Italian is on your list, try Arturo's for their Mussels Marinara and the Gnocchi Gorgonzola, or their Snapper Livornese with green and black olives, capers, anchovies and tomatoes.  Fresh is the word here!  Also, don't miss the "new downtown" of North Naples for good eats and a youthful vibe.  Try BrickTop's Lobster Bisque or crab cakes for appetizers, then dive in to their simply grilled, fresh Florida Grouper, Ahi Tuna Steak, or their chicken Milanese.  Add a cocktail to your meal with BrickTop's Pineapple Martini or their Peach Bellini.  Have a dinner-at-the-Ritz experience at The Grill, where service, atmosphere, and culinary experience are five-star!  The Grill soars with excellence in fine steaks.  Dry-aged cuts, including New York Strip, ribeye, and Delmonico are stars on the menu, while fresh seafood is a close second with half lobster tails, Seafood Stew, and pink shrimp.  Relax to live piano music while enjoying a delicious meal here at The Grill.

There are so many great fishing spots around Naples.  From off-shore fishing to river fishing and everything in between.  Book a Marco Island Inshore Fishing Charter and explore the backwaters of The Ten Thousand Islands, one of the most pristine areas in the world, with its own unique ecosystem found no where else!!

Naples, with a wide variety of fun activities to choose from, should easily become a vacation destination for families, couples, and people of all ages.  There are parks, zoos, golf courses, festivals, shopping, beach combing, and so much more!  Come to Naples and experience the abundance Florida's Paradise Coast has to offer!  Enjoy!!!
